Samantha Doan is the owner and baker of Cottage Confectioner. After earning a Bachelor's degree in sculpture from Miami University of Ohio, Samantha began working in catering and restaurants. The food industry provided a different level of creativity and challenge that she had been missing in the visual arts, so she decided to attend culinary school. After acquiring the Grand Diplome with distinction from The French Culinary Institute in New York City, she lived and worked in California for a time before returning to her roots in Pennsylvania. Cottage Confectioner is a culmination of Samantha's unique creative journey; the distinct and memorable flavors of her products will leave you with a hint of that journey, and hopefully fill you with the comforts and memories of home.
